DO THIS WORK IN YOUR JOURNAL....
My Three Personalities Hit the Road
A McCulloch Creative Writing Exercise
1) Brainstorm Different Aspects of Your Personality:
“Friendly, Outgoing, Depressed, Competitive, Sensitive, etc…”
2) Choose Three to Four of Your Personality Traits and Develop Each Into A Separate, Distinct Person. Give that personality trait things to say, things to want, etc…
DEPRESSION- “I can’t take this anymore. Life has no purpose. I want to just sit and avoid living, avoid life.”
BUBBLY- “Oh this is just so exciting! Where are we going? Where are we going?’’
COMPETITIVE- “ So this is going to be a competition on who gets the most excited over where we are going? I’m in and am going to win.”
3) Put all three of your personalities into a car and send them on a roadtrip.
- How will they interact?
- How will they argue?
- With the different things that they want, how will they treat each other?
Begin the rough draft of the poem like the following…
Depression, Outgoing, and Sensitive
