"What I Woud Do" Poetry Assignment

Before reading the "model poem", "What I Would Do" by Marc Petersen, Freewrite about a special person in your life, (your best friend, someone you're dating, a family member) and all of things that he or she loves (food, hobbies, places to hang out).

(Don't read on until you've done the above.)

Now imagine if that person you chose were to suddenly DECLARE that he or she will no longer be a part of your life.

How would you respond? Take a look at the model poem, "What I Would Do", and see how this speaker would respond to his wife leaving him for another man.

Now, consider how you would "creatively" respond to your BFF leaving you. Have fun with this. Nothing crude or malicious.
